Activating Arctera System Recovery after the trial period
If you do not activate Arctera System Recovery before the trial period ends, the software stops working. However, you can activate the product at any time after the trial period expires.
To activate Arctera System Recovery after the trial period
- On the Help menu, click Enter License Key.
- Click I have a license.
Note:
You can find the license key by Accessing VEMS at https://www.veritas.com/content/support/en_US/article.100048764
- Browse to provide a valid license file(.slf).
- Click Next, and then click Finish.
After Arctera System Recovery is installed, a folder is created with the metadata and the configuration data. The following folder contains the metadata and the configuration data, such as job configuration data, Arctera System Recovery logs, backup job history:
C:\Program Data\Arctera\Arctera System Recovery
The following folder contains the license file.
C:\Program Data\Arctera Shared\Licenses
Note:
Arctera recommends that only privileged users or an administrator have the rights to access this folder. If a non-administrative user is configured to use Arctera System Recovery with the Security Configuration Tool, add the user to this folder's access control list. This is application data and so it needs to be protected to avoid tampering.
