About NetBackup limitations with clustering solutions
The following general limitations exist for NetBackup in a cluster:
NetBackup does not support the conversion of an existing non-failover NetBackup primary server to a failover NetBackup primary server and vice versa. Contact Veritas Enterprise Technical Support.
All NetBackup nodes must be running the same operating system and NetBackup version.
NetBackup clustering does not support multiple master servers in a single cluster.
NetBackup primary server clustering is supported on Windows as well as Linux platforms.
NetBackup primary server clustering has an active-passive configuration. NetBackup supports only the active-passive high availability (HA) clustering configuration.
NetBackup primary server is supported with all cluster solutions,
For limitations specific to NetBackup options, refer to the NetBackup Release Notes.
