Edit or remove a role a custom role
You can edit or remove a custom role when you want to change or remove permissions for users with that role. Note that settings for
, , and only can be edited when you add a role. Default roles cannot be edited or removed. You can only add or remove users from default roles.Edit a custom role
Note:
When you change permissions for a custom role, the changes affect all users that are assigned to that role.
To edit a custom role
- On the left, click Security > RBAC.
- Click on the Roles tab.
- Locate and click on the custom role that you want to edit.
To edit the role description, click Edit description.
The role name cannot be changed after you create the role.
To edit permissions for the role, click Edit.
To add or remove users for the role, click the Users tab.
Remove a custom role
Note:
When you remove a role, any users that are assigned to that role lose the permissions that the role provided.
To remove a custom role
- On the left, click Security > RBAC.
- Click the Roles tab.
- Locate the custom role that you want to remove and select the check box for it.
- Click Remove > Yes.
