Removing Oracle SQL Developer with log4j

Following are the steps to remove Oracle SQL Developer with log4j from Oracle 19c.

  1. Log into the virtual machine as root user or the Oracle server where NetBackup IT Analytics is installed.
  2. As a root user, run the cd /opt/aptare/oracle command.
  3. Rename the sqldeveloper folder to sqldeveloper-old as using the mv sqldeveloper sqldeveloper-oldcommand.
  4. From /opt/aptare/bin, restart all the services using ./aptare restart command.
  5. Access the portal and verify if its operational.
  6. Verify if the collections are processing normal without any errors.
  7. From the virtual machine / server, you can now remove the sql developer folder using rm sqldeveloper-old command.
