About Enterprise Vault administration
This section gives an introduction to Enterprise Vault management.
For the majority of Enterprise Vault administration you use the Enterprise Vault Administration Console, which is a Microsoft Management Console (MMC) snap-in.
For some management tasks you can use Enterprise Vault's PowerShell cmdlets. For a complete list of the available Enterprise Vault cmdlets, see the PowerShell cmdlets guide.
You can also use other standard Windows tools to perform general management tasks, such as granting permissions and viewing event logs. You use Microsoft SQL Enterprise Manager to maintain the SQL databases.
A number of tools are provided for monitoring and reporting, including the Operations Manager, and the Enterprise Vault Reporting feature.
