Editing a Skype for Business Archiving target using the Administration Console

You can edit a Skype for Business Archiving target using the Administration Console.

To edit a Skype for Business archiving target using the Administration Console

  1. In the left pane of the Administration Console, locate the Targets node.
  2. Under Targets, click the Skype for Business container.

    Right-click the target you want to edit, and then click Properties.

    This opens the Skype for Business target Properties dialog box.

  3. If you want Enterprise Vault to start archiving Skype for Business conversations, select the Enabled check box.

    If you want to stop exporting conversations, clear the Enabled check box.

  4. In the Enterprise Vault server list, select the Enterprise Vault server you want to associate with the Skype for Business target.

    If the Enterprise Vault server does not currently host an SMTP Archiving task, the New Task button is available. Click the button to launch the wizard, and then configure the SMTP Archiving task on this server. A Skype for Business target cannot be associated with an Enterprise Vault server that does not host an SMTP Archiving task.

  5. Click the Archive tab.
  6. If you want to change the archive in which to store the Skype for Business conversations, next to Archive, click Change, and then select the new archive.

    If you specify an archive that is incompatible with Compliance Accelerator sampling, Enterprise Vault displays a warning. If you intend to use Compliance Accelerator with Skype for Business, we recommend that you use an SMTP archive.

  7. If you are using a retention category, and you want to change the retention settings to apply to Skype for Business conversations, next to Category, click Change, and then select the new settings.

    If no suitable retention category is available, you can create a new one. If you are using a retention plan and you want to change the settings, edit the archive properties.

  8. Click OK.
