Backup and restore of Kubernetes applications with file system volumes
NetBackup 10.1.1 extends its Kubernetes support with the following capabilities:
Backup and restore of Persistent Volume Claims (PVCs) of mode file system for the Container Storage Interface (CSI) providers which supports the following features:
PVC snapshot capability
PVC volume provisioning based on the Network File System (NFS) or other non-block storage
Note:
Backup and restore of a namespace with mixed volumes is not supported in the NetBackup 10.1.1 release.
Application Consistency backups:
To create backups of running applications, there might be a need to pause IO from application to persistent volume claim (disk) because the application data might not be always in consistent state.
