Impact of Linux Kernel Out of Bounds Write Vulnerability (CVE-2024-53104)

Veritas is aware of the Out of Bounds Write vulnerability in the Linux Kernel (CVE-2024-53104) that was added to the CISA Known Exploited Vulnerability Catalog on February 06, 2025 (Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog | CISA). All Veritas Product Security and Development teams are currently reviewing our software to determine if the vulnerability exists in any of our products and we will update the advisory as we gather more information.

If we determine a particular product is impacted by the issue, Veritas will provide temporary mitigation guidance, where possible, while we work to quickly provide a patch to permanently address the issue.
