NBServerMigrator: Unsupported features and scenarios

  1. NBA, as the target primary server if the source primary server is at NetBackup version 10.2 or higher.
  2. NetBackup Access Control (NBAC)
  3. BMR
  4. OpsCenter
  5. Cloud configurations
  6. Non-English locales
  7. Clustered Primary servers
  8. Fragmented/distributed catalog structure
  9. Universal share configured on a Flex media server (Flex Appliance configured as a Source Media server) is not supported for server migration.
    Note: Universal shares configured on NetBackup Appliance media server are supported.
  10. MFA (multi factor authentication): MFA migration from source to target primary server is not supported. MFA needs to be reconfigured at target post-migration.
  11. MPA(multi person authentication): MPA migration from source to target primary server is not supported. MPA needs to be reconfigured at the target post-migration.
  12. Splitting the NetBackup domain
  13. Merging multiple NetBackup domains
  14. IPv6 support
  15. Clusters and any other activity related to clusters except Flex Scale clusters.
  16. Different name migration.
  17. The Local MSDP on the target primary server is not supported if using the switch -keep_src_as_media.
