NetBackup and OpsCenter are not vulnerable to CVE-2024-38816, CVE-2024-38819, and CVE-2024-38820 in Spring Framework
Description
NetBackup Administrators have identified that CVE-2024-38816, CVE-2024-38819, and CVE-2024-38820 in Spring Framework are reported during security scans.

Based on the descriptions of each of the CVEs:
- CVE-2024-38816 and CVE-2024-38819: NetBackup and OpsCenter do not use RouterFunctions anywhere in their code and both run on Tomcat, so they are not vulnerable to these issues.
- CVE-2024-38820: NetBackup and OpsCenter do not use DataBinder disallowedFields and are not vulnerable to this issue.
This information applies to 10.5 and earlier versions of NetBackup and the latest release of OpsCenter (10.0.0.1).
Note: NetBackup includes Spring Framework 6.1.14 in the v10.5.0.1 MR release. This later Spring Framework version addresses all three of these CVEs and will prevent the scans from continuing to report them.
