Problem

Managed Backup Exec Server Communication Alert is received on standalone Backup Exec media server after upgrading to Backup Exec 22.1 or a manual migration.
 

Error Message

Alert Message:

Backup Exec Alert: Install Warning
(Server: ""<Current Backup Exec Server Name"") Backup Exec Central Administration Server cannot communicate with some of the Managed Backup Exec Servers. The Managed Backup Exec Server may be running a version of the product that does not support secure communications. Ensure that you upgrade the Backup Exec Servers. The Managed Backup Exec Servers for which communication cannot be established are listed: <old server name from where Backup Exec was migrated>

Cause

The old server name(s) or entries in the Backup Exec database are being treated as a server managed by the current Backup Exec server.
