Minimum permissions needed to perform RedHat Virtualization (RHV) Virtual Machine backup and restore
Veritas recommends creating the role with Admin account type. This role is guaranteed to have all the necessary privileges to perform Backup and Restore operations.
The following privileges can be allocated to a role and assigned to the NetBackup user to perform RHV VM backups and restores. These are the minimum required permissions that have been found to be sufficient in the tests performed by Veritas.
Assign the role to the account used for adding RHV Manager in the NetBackup™ Web UI Administration Console.

- From the RedHat Virtualization Manager Administration Portal goto Administration -> Configure
- In the Configure window, select New
- Fill in the Name and Description
- Select Account Type Admin
