General support for IPv6 was introduced in Enterprise Vault versions 9.0.3 and 10.0.1. See https://www.veritas.com/support/en_US/article.100048235. Enterprise Vault 12.x has improved support for the IPv6 protocol.
Veritas highly recommends that you specify the fully qualified domain name (FQDN), the hostname, or the DNS Alias as input when configuring Enterprise Vault. The following table shows the supported backend protocols with FQDN/Hostname/DNS Alias as input for Enterprise Vault configuration.
