How to gather Integrated BMC Web Console/Veritas Remote Management (IPMI) logs from a NetBackup appliance.

There are two methods for collecting BMC logs.

2. Collect the BMC logs manually.
1. From a web browser go to https://IP_address_of_IPMI_here (replacing IP_address_of_IPMI_here with the IP address you assigned to the IPMI interface on the appliance). Default login is 'sysadmin', password is 'P@ssw0rd'.
2. After login, the web page defaults to the first tab 'System Information' .
In 'Integrated BMC Web Console', along the left side menu items click on 'System Debug Log'.
In 'Veritas Remote Management' UI, click on 'Server Diagnostics' and the 'System Diagnostics':
3. Under 'System Debug Log/System Diagnostics' if there is a 'Last Log:' with date/time and a hyperlink is present , please click on that hyperlink and obtain the file. Then click the 'Generate Log' button and obtain the newly generated DebugLogs_xxx.zip output file by clicking on the hyperlink. Your browser will download the file to 'Downloads' location.

4. Click on the second tab at top named 'Server Health', along left side menu items click on 'Event Log'.

5. Ensure the drop-down menu under 'Select an event log category' is set to the default 'All Events'.
6. Scroll to bottom of page and click the 'Save Event Log' button. (Note it may take several minutes.) Obtain the SELLOG.zip file from your browser download folder location.
