Cause
Unlike a fresh install or an upgrade to NetBackup 8.0, the Repair install sequence never prompts the user to provide credentials for the NetBackup Web Management Console service. The lack of credentials causes the rollback to occur when executed on a Master Server.
NOTE: NetBackup Media Servers and NetBackup Clients do not have the NetBackup Web Management Console service installed. Therefore the Repair install option will succeed for such installation types.
As a consequence, the Repair install option is defective for Windows NetBackup 8.0 Master Servers.
- This functionality will be addressed in future versions of NetBackup.
