After setting the Nondelete option with Enterprise Vault Policy Manager (EVPM) to prevent the deletion of folders, users may still be able to delete folders.

Problem

When a user highlights the Inbox in Outlook, the user can drag and drop non-deletable folder into the Deleted Items folder.  The reason is that Enterprise Vault uses the Exchange Client Interface which does not support the end-user action required for this to function as expected. 

Solution

Veritas Corporation has acknowledged that the above-mentioned issue is present in the version(s) of the product(s) referenced in this article. 

There are currently no plans to address this issue by way of a cumulative hotfix or service pack in the current or previous versions of the software at the present time. This issue may be resolved in a future major revision of the software at a later time, but is not scheduled for any release.
