How to add an additional Enterprise Vault server to an existing site
Solution
2. Review the Installing and Configuring Guide located in the Related Documents section to make sure all prerequisite software is installed.
(NOTE: Run the deployment scanner to ensure all prerequisites are met.)
3. Start the Enterprise Vault installation on the new Enterprise Vault server.
4. Once the installation has completed, start the Configuration Wizard and click "No, use existing remote Vault Directory".
5. Type the name of the Enterprise Vault server that holds the Directory service into the "Computer name" field and click "Next". (Figure 1)
Note: The First server added to an EV Site, is typically found in the Vault Administration Console (VAC), at the top of the list of EV servers. This server hosts the directory service, and is the server that needs to be entered into the "Computer Name" field..

6. Click "Join an existing Vault Site" and click "Next". (Figure 2)

6. Type the DNS Alias for the new Enterprise Vault server and click "Next". (Figure 3)

7. When requested type the Vault Service Account password.
8. The next screen will detect what services already exist on the site and will show what services will be created, click Next.
9. Next will provide the options to add, remove or configure services. (Figure 4)

10. The Configuration Wizard will create and start the services, click Finish. (Figure 5)

11. Open the Enterprise Vault Administration console on the new EV server.
12. Type the alias of the new EV server when prompted for the Directory Service computer.
13. Expand the "Enterprise Vault Servers" and all EV servers will be displayed. (Figure 6)
