NetBackup for Lotus Notes backup fails with Status Code 103 on a Windows client

Problem

VERITAS NetBackup (tm) for Lotus Notes fails with Status Code 103 on a Windows client.

Error Message

ERR - NBLN_Connect() NotesInitExtended() Failed:0x110:Access to data denied.
INF - EXIT STATUS 103: error occurred during initialization, check configuration file

Solution

Details:
This occurred when the NTFS permissions on the drive containing the Domino Data Directory were modified to exclude "Everyone."

Solution:

By default, the "NetBackup Client Service" logs on as the "Local system account."  To solve the issue described above, modify the NTFS permissions of the Domino Data Directory to include the "SYSTEM" account with Full control, or change the "NetBackup Client Service" so that it logs on with an account which already has Full control over the Domino Data Directory.
 
If the above alone does not resolve then, additionally, change the "Netbackup legacy client service" so that it logs on with an account which already has Full control over the Domino Data Directory.
