Error during catalog recovery: "Failed to find image file with backup id=masterserver_1321123456 (227)"
Problem
Getting a status 227 popup during catalog recovery:
Error during catalog recovery: Failed to find image file with backup id=masterserver_1321123456 (227)
Error Message
In the bpdbm log, it appears as though NetBackup is looking for the catalog backup in the images database as though a typical restore was being performed. But in a DR situation, this image would of course not be there:

Cause
This was encountered during a recovery of a Unix master server catalog, initiated by the recovery wizard when using the Windows Remote Administration Console, and a DR file local to that console machine. As of the writing of this article, it has not been reproduce in the lab.
Solution
To workaround the issue, run the following command using a copy of the DR file residing on the master server:
/usr/openv/netbackup/bin/admincmd/bprecover -wizard
