Configuration of login and NDMP credentials from the NetApp Management Console fails; Unable to validate host credentials.
Problem
The login and NDMP credentials for some hosts can be configured from the NetApp Management Console, but the configuration of other hosts is not successful.
Can affect many different usages of NetApp, including the pre-configuration necessary for use with NetBackup Replication Director.
Error Message
The Diagnose Storage System Wizard of the NetApp Management Console displays the following message from the Login Credentials screen.
Error Details
Unable to validate host credentials. Please make sure that provided login credentials and admin port/transport details are valid.
Cause
The filer is not configured to allow httpd-based administration:

Solution
1) Open an ssh, or other type of, session to the filer that cannot be configured.
2) Login with the appropriate credentials.
3) From the command line, enter this command;
options httpd.admin.enable on
