Creating a Universal Share from the NetBackup Appliance Web Console
This topic describes how to create a Universal Share.
Note:
For high availability (HA) setups, creating a Universal Share is supported only on the active node.
To create a new Universal Share from the web console
- Navigate to Manage > Storage > Universal Shares
- Click Create on the main Universal Shares page.
- Enter a name for the Share, for example
share_1
. - Enter a short description for the Share, for example
Test for share_1
. - Click Next.
- Choose a transport protocol from the Transport protocol drop down menu.
- Choose Read-write or Read-only for Export options.
- Click Add Client, then enter the client name into the blue box.
Note:
Client names can be entered using the short name, the FQDN, or the IP format.
- Click the checkmark to confirm the new client.
- Click Next, then review the summary to confirm that the Share details are correct.
- Click Create Share to create the Share. A success message is shown when the Share is created.
- Click Close to return to the main Universal Shares page.
