Restore from Vault dialog box

This dialog box lets you restore one or more archived items to your mailbox .

You cannot restore items to Personal folders.

If you do not have access to the vault in which Enterprise Vault has stored the original items, you cannot restore them from their shortcuts.

The dialog box contains the following fields:

Same folder as shortcut

Restores each selected item to the folder that currently contains its associated shortcut.

Other folder

By default, the Other folder option restores the selected items to a special Enterprise Vault folder that is named Restored Items. If the folder does not already exist then Enterprise Vault automatically creates it.

To select a different folder, click Other folder, then click Change and select a folder.

Delete shortcut when item has been restored

Deletes the shortcuts after Enterprise Vault has restored the original items. Enterprise Vault creates new shortcuts when it next archives the items. You may want to keep the shortcuts if you plan to modify the restored items. The shortcuts provide links to the original versions of the archived items in the vault.
