Overview

CyberArk is an identity security company that specializes in privileged access management. With the CyberArk application, you can manage user login credentials with the following features:

  • Set up password policies.

  • Change passwords.

  • Reconcile passwords.

  • Rotate passwords.

Through the CyberArk application, you can install and configure CyberArk plugins for use with specific Veritas appliances. Each plugin is unique to the appliance platform and the access that you want to allow various users. The following Veritas appliance platforms are supported:

  • Veritas Access Appliance

  • Veritas Flex Appliance

  • Veritas NetBackup Flex Scale Appliance

  • Veritas NetBackup Appliance

All installation and configuration takes place in the CyberArk application on their website. CyberArk provides all plugin installation instructions.

About this document

Once you have installed the appropriate plugin for the specific appliance platform, use this document to configure the plugin. The configuration for each plugin is unique. This document provides individual configuration procedures for each plugin.

CyberArk provides instructions for post-configuration operations such as connecting and changing passwords.
