Backing up an Oracle database using Oracle copilot policy with universal share
Before you configure Oracle copilot instant access, you must back up the Oracle database using the Oracle copilot policy with universal share.
To back up Oracle copilot with universal share
- Create universal shares with the NFS protocol.
Refer to the information on creating a universal share in the
NetBackup Web UI Administrator's Guide. - Mount all the universal shares on the Oracle clients.
- Create an Oracle Copilot policy and then in Backup Selections, select the mount points of the universal shares.
