Preparing to upgrade CloudPoint
Note the following before you upgrade CloudPoint:
Ensure that the virtual machine or physical host meets the requirements of the CloudPoint version that you wish to upgrade to.
When you upgrade CloudPoint, all the snapshot data and configuration data from your previous version is maintained in the external
/cloudpoint
data volume. This information is external to the CloudPoint container and the image and is preserved during the upgrade. However, you can take a backup of all the data in the
/cloudpoint
volume, if desired.Ensure that you remove CloudPoint plug-ins that are no longer supported by the newer CloudPoint release.
If you want to install or upgrade CloudPoint in an unattended mode, ensure that you use the appropriate command syntax.
