Deprecated support for managing licenses using Programs and Features
Support for managing licenses using Windows Add or Remove Programs has been deprecated in this release. You can now use the new vxlicinstupgrade.exe command line utility to manage licenses, after you have installed or upgraded the product using the wizard.
The vxlicinstupgrade.exe command line utility is located in the installation directory of your local computer. The exact path to the installation directory is stored in either the %VCS_HOME% or the %VMPATH% environment variable. You can navigate to the InfoScale Installation directory on your local computer by entering either %VCS_HOME% or %VMPATH% in the Windows Run utility.
Note:
When using the vxlicinstupgrade.exe command line utility, ensure that the license key file is downloaded on the local host, where you want to manage the license.
For detailed information about managing licenses using the vxlicinstupgrade.exe utility, see the Veritas InfoScale Installation and Upgrade Guide - Windows.
