Managing service accounts
You can convert a Flex Appliance Console user account to a service account that you can use for API automation. A service account does not have access to the Flex Appliance Console. Check Veritas SORT for more information on the APIs.
Use the following procedures to manage service accounts.
To convert a user account to a service account
- Sign in to the Flex Appliance Console as a security administrator and click the User management icon on the left.
- Locate the user account that you want to convert. Click Actions > Convert to service account.
- Enter a maximum token validity for the account and click Convert.
To change the maximum token validity
- Sign in to the Flex Appliance Console as a security administrator and click the User management icon on the left.
- Locate the user account that you want to modify. Click Actions > Change token validity.
- Enter the new maximum token validity and click Change.
