Notes and restrictions for Microsoft SQL Server agent
NetBackup does not support the Configure instant access option with file stream-enabled databases. Microsoft requires that the file stream files and filegroups are restored to a local file system location.
To restore file stream-enabled databases, use one of the following options:
Configure instant access for the entire VM.
See the section Create an instant access VM in the NetBackup Web UI VMware Administrator's Guide.
Restore the database from a snapshot backup (without instant access). Make sure that the file stream files and filegroups are restored to the local file system.
See the section Perform a complete database recovery in the NetBackup Web UI Microsoft SQL Server Administrator Guide.
