How to Configure One-Way Export Out of Veritas Alta SaaS Protection

There are two methods for administrator-driven background exports:
  1. One-time export job, and
  2. Recurring one-way sync export job

Both types are launched from the Admin Portal in the 'Content' app.

One-time Export Job

To configure a one-time export of a location, choose the 'Content' app and browse to the folder to be exported.

Click in the white-space next to the folder name to select it. 
Click the ' Background Export' button.
 
 
This will open a window for you to select the destination export location, as well as provide an email for the notification. Notifications include a link to the export when it completes.
 
 
Click ' Apply' to launch the export job.
 
 

Recurring one-way sync export job

To configure a Recurring background export, choose the 'Content' app and browse to the folder to be exported. 

Click in the white-space next to the folder name to select it. 
Click the ' Properties' button.
 
This will display a folder properties window. Click the ' Recurring Background Exports' tab. Next, to configure a recurring export for the selected folder, click the ' Add Recurring Background Export' button.
 
 

Click the drop-down arrow to expand the export's settings. Next, use the drop down menus to select the desired location and recurrence interval. Click 'Apply' to save the changes.

 

After clicking 'Apply', an initial export job will run immediately. Recurring jobs will run according to a set interval time.
