Before installing the Veritas Alta SaaS Protection Connector Service (HCS), it is recommended that you create a dedicated service account in your domain. The HCS will run under this account, and will use it to access the file system locations that you wish to apply archiving policies to.
Following are the minimum permissions required:

- 'Write Attributes' permission as shown in the screenshot below. This 'Write Attributes' permission is required because Veritas Alta SaaS Protection suppresses updating the Last Accessed time.
