Description
During the installation of eDiscovery Platform (eDP) the bundled version of Java is installed to support the application. This installed version of Java is the only major version that eDP supports. Installing other version of Java will put eDP into an unsupported state and may lead to unexpected issues.
The table below lists which versions of Java are bundled with which versions of eDP:

Note2:
1. The versions of Java listed above are major versions (ie JDK 1.8). Minor versions (i.e. update 221) can be updated, but it is not recommended. For more information, please see the related articles section below.
2. In an environment with a remote, shared MySQL server, the Java version does not need to be updated to match that included in CHF updates. Java is only used on the remote, shared MySQL server to facilitate initial installation of MySQL.
