Unable to import diskgroup version 110 following an upgrade to 5.1 SP1 RP2 (Solaris) Disk group version doesn't support feature; see the vxdg upgrade command

Problem

When attempting to import a Veritas Volumer Manager (VxVM) diskgroup with a diskgroup version of 110 on a server running VxVM 5.1 SP1 RP2 it fails.

VxVM 5.1 SP1 is not impacted
VxVM 5.0 MP3 RP5 is not impacted
VxVM 5.0 MP3 RP5 HF1 is impacted, fixed by applying 5.0 MP3 RP5 HF6.

Diskgroup version 140 and higher do not encounter this issue.

Workaround:
Upgrade the diskgroup version from 110 to 140 or above.


The issue is now addressed in 5.1 SP1 RP2 P2 HF5 onwards for Solaris Sparc and fixed through Etrack 2553729.
